In love with a JW girl

i was in a relation with a jw girl for almost three years(im am not jw) and we are so inlove with each other until someone saw us from her congregation and she was disfellowed and that where the oddness happened.

her family and friends are not talking to her anymore, she wants me to stop seeing and talking to her anymore not until i became a baptized jw.

I was never a JW but you should press my avatar and read my introduction to this forum. My advice to you RUN, do not look back. Very sorry for the heartache this young lady has caused you but you can find much better women in the real world who do not come with CULT ties. If I read your story correctly you have children already the WT HATES children. Read about the child abuse, ARC, pedophile issues, and go through this site and read some of the comments about the children's cartoon Sophia and Caleb that WT produces for the kids total emotional abuse.

Go to JWFACTS research this religion before you do anymore studies, these people LIE, LIE, LIE, I am totally convinced that they would not know the truth if it hit them in the face.

Welcome to the forum, here you are among friends trust all of us, those at the KH are NOT your friends they will stab you in your back the minute you turn around. Think about that statement someone from your girlfriend's congregation turned her in to the Elders when they saw you to together and she got disfellowshiped. Now how loving is that? Do you want to live a live being watched all the time by every member of the congregation?

I am a worldly lady of 65 who raised 2 children by myself. I was introduced to this JW ....... approximately 2 years ago. There is a term we in what you all call the "worldly" community call AGE appropriate material and trust me that ain't age appropriate it!!! Try maybe we'll let's say late teens. JWS have no clue when it comes to what is age appropriate when it comes to raising kids. I have seen some of the discussion topics for the meetings and know full well the kids are sitting right there, excuse me epic fail. There is a time and a place to discuss certain things when "little" ears are not around. That picture shown above is absolutely, totally classified as emotional abuse and someone or a group of someone's should be held accountable for the nightmares that type of damage can cause to a little mind. That is pure terror. Along with that horrid bunker video shown at the convention these people should be brought up on charges of child abuse.

Explaining JW Beleifs To Non JW's

my new girlfriend asked me over dinner last night what jw's believe.

as i sat there explaining it i realized how ridiculous it sounds and was slightly embarrassed that i used to believe this crap for 31 years.. try and read this and imagine hearing it for the first time.... me: well... jw believe that god's name is jehovah and that his son is jesus christ.

they believe that jesus died on a stake and not a cross and that in the year 1914 he personally chosen the jw's as his one true religion.

When I came across that video as a worldly person I just about flipped out. I could not believe that in this day and age someone would possibly stand before a crowd and say those words. I actually had to watch it a couple of times because I was in total shock. Do these idiots not realize how many extremely powerful women there are in this world?

just wanted to update you guys of the amazing couple of weeks i've had in recovering from the cult.. i was attending the meetings still just so i could see my daughter in the kingdom hall and have her sit we me half the time.

i had no intention of ever becoming a jw again but was hoping to be re-instated and just not turn up ever again so i could at least see my family.

but then an elder said something to me that changed all that.

Thanks but that is the way I raised my children. I guided my kids, my mother told me what to do even when I was 50 years old, does not mean I listened. So I made it my policy never to tell my children what to do but to always give them plenty of resources and the ability to make decisions through critical thinking. I would of course stir them away from illegal choices.

Exactly what Heaven said above. I never once said a negative thing about my children's father in front of or to them. In time they made their own decision. My daughter is getting married in October, although her father will be attending she stated mom you raised me YOU will walk me down the aisle.

Kids know very early what is going on, what is right, what is wrong they do not need to be told. They can sense right from wrong. If you are happy they can sense that also. Try always to be positive when you are with your daughter.

Never a JW here. Well Pale.emperer you can now imagine how I felt when I started researching the JW beliefs since the "Elder" I dated for 5 years only told me we do not believe in the cross and do not celebrate holidays. I asked a question about his beliefs and got a "good bye have a nice life" email.

What a messed up religion, you are in a good place now. Enjoy the rest of your life. You are FREE. Show them how great life can be on the outside looking in. Protect your little precious one as much as possible from the cult.

my witness self :-very hollow, slightly lofty, characteristically judgemental, overwhelmingly convincing.. my non-witness self:- and in my imperfect way no longer taking the passive attitude to reality, and most importantly no longer feeling an outsider with my " true" friends..

Never a JW so I really cannot answer your thread but you said:

Never a truer statement said, my mother without the alcohol was one of the top florist designers in Washington DC written up in all the magazines. She was sweet and kind to everyone in the community if it meant promoting her career but the minute she walked in the house she started drinking and became the most evil person on the face of the earth. She also knew every gay power house manager in town all the 5 star hotel managers, largest jewelry store owners or managers, top hair stylist and the list goes on. Every night they would put away some serious amount of alcohol. Before I was 16 LOL I am sure I could have qualified for bartender job because there was very few drinks I did not know how to make.

Question for science geeks

do any of you know anything about prescription medications and their reactions?

the doctors cannot explain why but i react to everything they prescribe to the point that now all my doctors are attempting neutral remedies before medication.

tomorrow i am having surgery to drill a hole in my head to put in a titanium rod and we are doing local instead of general simply because it lessens the amount of needed drugs.

I looked at your math problem that was elementary math in our book. This is where my daughter would get very frustrated with us we would walk by glance at the paper say 4. How did you get that? Don't know. No clue. Teacher says need to show work. Call someone else.

My daughter turned 25 this past weekend and we discussed this exact topic. She said do you know how frustrating it was growing up with the two of you and trying to understand math. I just laughed and said I am sure we were not much help.
